1ltr tub of water soluble lubricant is specially designed to aid assembly of pipe fittings. When pressure testing underground systems it is advised to only use water soluble lubricant due to its natural drying properties, this prevents joints coming apart.  Traditional silicone-based products, on the other hand, don't dry out for many months.
